QuickGPS is a navigation system optimized for geocaching but it can also work without a bluetooth GPS receiver for map browsing.

The maps are stored in own format which is very efficient, they can be built by a Windows program based on Google maps in a few seconds. Once a GPS position is retrieved the program automatically detects the best suitable map and opens it.

QuickGPS also supports waypoints that are easy to manage (you can use a simple text editor), QuickGPS can lead you precisely to the right place, it shows the direction and distance in meters.

You can also display your track information which includes average speed, actual altitude, vertical distance (both up and down), graph of altitude progress and more.

The UIQ Open is an application competition where software developers and software companies submit UIQ 3 applications in different categories on the UIQ Developer Community website. The competition ran from October until the end of December 2007. A jury of experts has spent the past few weeks intensively evaluating the submissions submitted from all parts of the globe. The winners of the competition are now appointed.

The judging panel selected two winning applications in each of the five categories.

Each winner will receive a prize package including: one of the latest UIQ phones; marketing packages for their application; an invitation to the UIQ Developer Fast Track event and more.
